The question arises for me though is she really crazy or is the adolescent Sedaris just remembering his mother as he felt toward her then? So he claims that his evil mother has locked all of the children out of the house and it is snowing. In “Let it Snow,” by David Sedaris, he tells about how his mother is crazy and she locks them out of the house. Then when they become teenagers they hate you and wish that they could move out. There were eight inches on the ground, and, rather than melting, it froze. School was cancelled, and two days later we got lucky again.
